In 2001, Gary delved into music production, and by 2005, his work started to garner attention within the industry. He co-founded The Japanese Popstars in 2006, which served as his primary musical focus for the following eight years. During this period, the group released music through esteemed labels like Virgin, EMI, Ministry of Sound, Strictly Rhythm, Gung-Ho, and Bedrock Records.
In 2014, Gary initiated his solo project, Confute, which has been endorsed by renowned DJs such as John Digweed, Maceo Plex, Carlo Lio, James Zabiela, Psycatron, Proxy, and Stephan Bodzin. In 2017, he established his own label, Four One Records, consistently pushing boundaries and innovating in his musical pursuits.
Gary is also the driving force behind the collaborative project Midnight Residents, which honors the skill of warm-up DJs, as well as the eclectic project Curntables, which traverses multiple musical styles.
