Fordal (Les Dales) stands as a pioneering figure in the progressive house scene, wearing multiple hats as an accomplished DJ, producer, and co-owner of the legendary Forensic Records. His musical journey began in the most authentic way possible – through the jazz-infused childhood memories of his father, a saxophonist who shared stages with icons like Jimi Hendrix and Rod Stewart, instilling in Fordal an early appreciation for musical counterculture.
In 1998, Fordal made his first significant mark on the industry by founding Binary Records shop, which quickly became renowned as a collector’s paradise. Though the digital revolution eventually led to its closure in 2001, this venture proved instrumental in shaping his career trajectory. The extensive musical knowledge gained during this period became the foundation for his future success, opening doors to performances at some of the world’s most prestigious venues including The Arena, Purple Onion, The Cornerhouse, Ministry of Sound, and EGG London.
Behind the decks, Fordal has cultivated a distinctive sound that defies easy categorization. Known for his masterful ability to weave together eclectic influences, his sets take listeners on a journey through carefully curated soundscapes, demonstrating both technical prowess and an innate understanding of dancefloor dynamics. As co-owner of Forensic Records, he continues to shape the future of progressive house, championing innovative sounds while staying true to the genre’s core elements.
In 2022 Fordal become Co-owner of Forensic Records together with the original founder and often musical collaborator Chris Scott, aka Lexicon Avenue.
