DJ Samer has firmly established himself as a luminary in progressive house music throughout his two-decade-long career in the underground music scene. His label, Pangea Recordings, consistently receives acclaim from top-tier DJs, and Samer shows no signs of stopping.

Samer Salhab’s journey into dance music began at Club Simon’s in Gainesville, Florida, where he cultivated a passion for underground house and a drive to curate and perform tracks as a DJ.

Through dedication and practice, Samer started making a name for himself within Tampa, Florida’s local club scene.

Samer’s career took off after meeting Bill Vines (The Maji) at Chakra Records in Tampa. Together, they founded Pangea Recordings and produced their debut EP, A New Beginning.

The early 2000s brought considerable success for Samer, prompting a move to San Diego, California, where he expanded his reputation in the local scene and opened for international DJs.

Pangea’s impact grew as renowned DJs like Sasha frequently played and charted their releases.

Samer further developed Pangea by launching sister labels Pangea UK, 1Shot Recordings, and digital subsidiaries.

Although their paths have diverged recently, Samer continues to DJ at premier events nationwide, from Ultra in Miami to Love Fest in San Francisco.

Additionally, he has shifted his focus to creating original productions and composing music under his own name, with releases on esteemed labels like Spundae Music, Baroque Records, and Old SQL. Samer’s podcast, Pangea Recordings Podcast, has garnered him a global audience with thousands of dedicated listeners.
