Venetian producer Phil Kix delivers his Compatible Music entree in the form of a couple of stellar singles, tallying into an extended player with broad appeal and remarkable quality.
Lead track ‘Extrouse’ is abound with energy, a raw sliver of techno of which fans of the Italian curator will be accustomed. The vitality of it’s rhythmic parts isn’t forgone with the influx of stunning melodic sequences and emotive break, ensuring havoc-wreaking results across the world’s underground dancefloors.
‘Sunsteps’ is best characterised as deeper and infinitely more subtle in relation to it’s counterpart, with brooding progressive spirit of it’s own. The juxtaposing tracks serve to highlight the diversity and expanse of Kix’s palate, while also providing a stunning marriage of high quality pieces of art to further augment Compatible Music’s ever blossoming discography.
