Sebastian Markiewicz hails from the coast of Poland, but his love for electronic music led him to Manchester, UK, where he studied sound engineering and immersed himself in the city’s vibrant music scene. His productions are grounded in house music, but feature a unique Polish flair.
After three years of honing his sound, Sebastian is now ready to launch his own label, Compatible. The label will feature Sebastian’s own releases as well as tracks by talented artists such as Phil Kieran (Cocoon), Sirenize (Bedrock), Ron Costa (Trapez), and Two Hand Salute (Bedrock).
Compatible’s inaugural release is Sebastian’s original mix of ‘Fibre,’ a deep and hypnotic track that gradually builds layers of sound to drive the beat forward with pulsating intensity.
The release also includes a remix by Phil Kieran, who adds a reverberating groove and bassline to transform ‘Fibre’ into a main room stomper.
The success of this release led to the release of the Phil Kieran remix on John Digweed’s label, Bedrock Record, both digitally and on vinyl, which was another great success.
Overall, this first release from Compatible showcases Sebastian’s talent as a producer and sets the stage for future releases from the label.
